Jeremy Richards has joined me on several trips and always produces a great portfolio. During our safaris, he always has the camera in his hand and is ready to shoot at a second’s notice; in this way, he captures many brief and special moments that are gone before others are on to them. Congratulations on another collection of lovely images, and for working through them so quickly!
He wrote a few lines about his trip:
“This was my first visit to Lower Zambezi National Park and my third trip to Zambia with Edward Selfe. I had heard many good things about Lower Zambezi, particularly during the Emerald Season, and had seen lots of wonderful images, many taken by Edward. I was not disappointed. Lower Zambezi is a magical place. The varied landscapes of Winter-thorn forest, open plains, riverine habitat and the mighty Zambezi were all fabulous in their own right, but it is the early morning and late afternoon light that makes this a special place and the perfect backdrop to see and photograph the abundant wildlife. The organisation and execution of the trip was exemplary. Edward used his deep knowledge of the park and its wildlife to make sure we were best placed to take advantage of the light and the many and varied opportunities that came our way. Leopard, lion, wild dog, elephant all featured extensively, but so did some of the less high profile mammals and birds, all of which were transformed by the light and setting. These are just a few of the many images I took on this memorable trip.
I can not finish without saying a big thank you to Edward for making this such a fabulous trip, to John for his tireless driving and expert knowledge, to the team at Anabezi Camp, to Emma and the [People & Places Travel] team in Lusaka for making all the pieces of the jigsaw work perfectly and to my hard working and entertaining fellow travellers.”
